We are part of Scottish Energy Efficiency, with our main office at Unit 3 Prospect III, Prospect Business Centre, Dundee DD2 1TY. We install solar panels, battery storage and EV chargers across Kilmarnock and East Ayrshire through MCS-certified partners.

Who we are

Solar Panels Kilmarnock is the dedicated Kilmarnock and East Ayrshire service of Scottish Energy Efficiency. We install through MCS-certified partners and handle enquiries for homes, businesses, farms and rural properties across KA1, KA2 and KA3, including Hurlford, Crosshouse, Kilmaurs, Stewarton, Galston, Newmilns, Darvel, Fenwick, Symington, Dundonald, Dunlop and Irvine.

What we collect

When you fill in our quote form we collect your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the type of property you have (home, business, farm or rural), what you are interested in (solar, battery, both, EV charger or heat pump), and — for business, farm and rural enquiries — your business or farm name and property type. We also record the page you submitted from and the source site, so we can attribute your enquiry correctly.

How we use your information

We use your information to contact you about your enquiry, to arrange a survey of your Kilmarnock property, to design and quote a solar or battery system, and to communicate with you about the installation if you go ahead. We do not use your data for marketing you did not ask for, and we do not sell your data to third parties.

Where your data goes

When you submit the form, your enquiry is sent securely to our team via a third-party automation service (Zapier) and stored in our customer management system. We only share your data with our installation partners for the purpose of surveying and quoting your property. Our partners are bound by confidentiality and only use your data for the enquiry you initiated.

Legal basis

We process your enquiry data on the basis of your consent — you submitted the form and asked us to contact you — and our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry and providing a quote. You can withdraw your consent at any time by asking us to delete your data.

How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry data for as long as is necessary to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you wish to revisit the quote. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain records for legal or accounting purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to restrict processing, and to data portability.
